till 29th FebColourful Dreams is an exhibition of paintings created by a selection of Tutti Visual Artists, which explores the theme of Abstraction.

Artist Tim Cannell creates layered complex structures with rich colour combinations. Recently listed by Peter Goers as South Australia's best abstract painter, Tim's paintings present a balance between careful composition and spontaneous brushwork.

Charlie Taplin's paintings explore natural and geometric forms revealing layers of vibrant and luminous colour on a multitude of transparent planes.

Tessa Crathern, whose work captures colour and shape through repeated patterns, is inspired by stained glass windows.

Each artist is part of the Tutti Visual Arts and Design Program, which aims to support the development of emerging learning disabled artists and promote their talent to the wider community and arts market.

Colourful Dreams offers a rare glimpse into the unique and alternative worlds of these talented young artists.

The ceremony will be conducted under the supervision of McLaren Vale’s reigning 2011 Bushing King and Queen, to be announced at the Winemakers Lunch on 28 October 2011. The Bushing King and Queens roles are to ensure that the peal of the bell sounds joyfully across the vineyards of McLaren Vale.

This grand gathering marks the commencement of an indeterminable period of sleep deprivation and possibly the last opportunity for some time to enjoy a sensible and civil conversation with those whose labour brings such acclaim to our beautiful region.
